1899 Inscription 'CORREOS REPUBLICA DE COLOMBIA' with control-overprint

  1 c brown on yellow
  2 c black on yellow
  5 c red on yellow
  5 c brown on green
  5 c red
  10 c blue on yellow
  10 c red on red

The plates of the 5 c red on yellow was used to create the 1 c and 2 c stamps. Parts of the '5' can still be seen in these stamps. These stamps are imperforate or rouletted. The control-overprint consists of wavy lines, a star or lilly.

  1 c blue (overprinted with chain like motif, red)
  2 c black on red (overprinted with 's' in violet)
  2 c brown (overprinted with chain like motif, red)
  5 c violet (overprinted with red star)
  10 c brown (overprinted with red star)

In 1902-04 several stamps of Colombia, Bolivar and Carthagena were overprinted 'R CARTAGENA' to serve as registration stamps

A whole sheet of 'R' stamps of Bolivar with 'R. CARTAGENA' overprints

1908 A stamp of Bolivar exists (2 c red 'AR') with overprint 'Correos de Bolivar HABILITADO CARTAGENA COL.', this stamp was issued for Carthagena example:
